Wow! What amazing news. I almost didn’t enter A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald into the Romantic Book of the Year Awards—otherwise known as the RUBYs—because I thought there was no possible way it would measure up to the competition. So I was flabbergasted to learn that it has been shortlisted in the Romantic Elements category! The awards will be announced at the Romance Writers of Australia’s annual conference in Brisbane in August. I’m just thrilled to be shortlisted and certainly don’t expect to be collecting an award. If you’d like to know more about the other shortlisted books and the…

I’ve been lucky enough to have the book featured in lots of newspapers, and to have been invited to do lots of interviews. Here’s a round up some of the A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald media. Sydney Daily Telegraph and Brisbane Courier Mail   The lovely Mercedes Maguire from Sydney’s Daily Telegraph newspaper read and loved the book so much that she got in touch with me about an interview. I was in the studios at The West Australian and Channel 7 this week being interviewed by Will Yeoman, Books Editor, about my recent travels to Paris and New York. We talked a little about what I did while I was away, including some of the areas I visited, as research for my 2018 book. Then, at the end, we did a little dramatisation of a scene in A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald! This was very good fun – I’m appearing at the New Norcia Writers Festival soon and I’m doing a longer dramatisation with Will at the festival so…

WritingWA has chosen A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald as their Book of the Month! And they’ve had me in to the studios to record an episode of Cover to Cover where I discuss researching A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald in New York City, the inspiration behind the book, what I discovered about 1920s obstetric practices as I researched, how I brought the Ziegfeld Follies to life, how I wrote the book and much more. It’s an in-depth interview with the lovely Meri Fatin and is perfect for book clubs and readers who’d like to know more about how the book was…
